Our Networking Projects

Contemplatives in Action values creative strategies and approaches to creating more of a space for a thoughtful response. We partner with a variety of agencies in order to make social services more fluid within the New Orleans metro area.
We also partner with individuals trying to get the word out about New Orleans.Our friend, Pat Semansky, is a wonderful photographer and has beautiful website. We introduced him to Ben Williams, an English teacher at Georgetown Prep. View the first of many NOLA Storytellers here.

We work with others in order to build capacity effectively through shared resources. Here is a listing of a few of our partnered projects:

Agency Spotlight

Our monthly gathering with local volunteer managers and coordinators. Along with a generous portion of Red Beans and Rice we gather to share experiences and insights and seek assistance or refferals. We meet every 2nd Monday of the month from 5:30pm-7:30pm.

The Same Page
A training session for volunteer managers and coordinators. We work with local practitioners to offer continuous quality improvement in our recovery agencies through the variety of new staff members.
The Christmas Tree Project

A program with Bayou Rebirth, CIA helps to advertise and organize the recycling of Christmas Trees into cribs of fences made to assist in building up land that was lost due to coastal erosion. View this short video for more information.

VolunTour Gumbo
